The tales of Tale 7: Mystery at Tuition
--- Introduction ---
It was a Sunday, the siren of the police patrol cars sounded around the neighborhood. Many had gathered outside of West’s Tuition Centre. Rachel and Kimberly were having their statements taken by Officer Scarlett. Looze was inside the Tuition Centre. Together with Inspector Max and Officer Tommy, they investigated the dead body on the floor. What had happened?
--- Story ---
One day before the incident, Looze, Rachel and Kimberly were on their way to tuition at 10 am. It was going be their first day attending class as they had recently signed up for tuition lesson.
“I hope the teacher will be really kind!” Rachel shouted excitedly.
“Me too! Will our teacher be a male or female?” Kimberly added on.
Looze felt those 2 girls were overly excited. What was there to be excited about over the first day of tuition? Soon, they reach the door steps of the tuition centre.
“West’s Tuition Centre.” Looze read the signboard hammered on top of the door.
“Must be founded by someone with a surname West.” Looze mumbled.
Just then, from behind, a voice called out to them.
“Are you 3 the new comers today?” the voice reached their ears.
“Yes we are. And you are?” Rachel asked politely.
“I am Ginny West, the head teacher here. You can call me Miss Ginny.” Miss Ginny smiled.
“Indeed it was West.” Looze mumbled again.
“Good morning Miss Ginny! Nice to meet you! Are you going to be the teacher teaching us?” Kimberly greeted with a question.
“You can say so. Alright, let’s all go in. I’m sure the other students are waiting for us.” Miss Ginny invited everyone.
As they entered the tuition centre, Looze noticed that there were 5 rooms up ahead.
“Miss Ginny, are there 3 other teachers around here?” Looze asked.
“Yes there are, how do you know?” Miss Ginny was puzzled.
“Easy, there are 5 rooms up ahead of us. 1 of the rooms must be the staff room, where the teachers place their belongings in. As for the other 4, they are most likely classrooms where individual teacher conducts lessons.” Looze explained.
“Wonderful! You must be the famous high school detective that I have been hearing from.” Miss Ginny clapped.
Soon after, everyone went into the first room just right up ahead of them. As they entered, Miss Ginny started to introduce the 3 newcomers to the student seated inside.
“Everyone, we have 3 newcomers joining as today. On my left, we have Rachel James. Next to Rachel will be Kimberly Max. And on my right, his name is Looze Tale.” Miss Ginny introduced.
“Looze Tale? Isn’t he the famous high school detective?” everyone started whispering among themselves after hearing Looze’s name.
“Alright, all of you quiet down. And the 3 of you please go take a seat.” Miss Ginny smiled.
Just as Looze and the others had finally settled down, there was a knock on the door. It opened and there stood two men and one woman.
“Hey Miss Ginny, I heard the high school detective is here. Is that true?!” one of the man shouted.
“Will you please not shout Mr Carl Kinston?” Miss Ginny requested.
“Oh I’m so sorry. So where is he?” Mr Carl whispered.
“If you are looking for me, I’m right here.” Looze stood up.
“So he’s the one? Quite a handsome young man isn’t he? How I hope there is one in my class too.” the woman commented.
“Are you being attracted by him Miss Joey?” the other man laughed.
“Of course not. Please don’t be spouting nonsense Mr Jonas.” Miss Joey turned a black face.
“Alright, will you please leave? I’m going to start the class soon.” Miss Ginny demanded.
The door shut and the 3 of the other teachers left and went back to their classes. The lesson began to start and everyone focused on what Miss Ginny was teaching.
At 12.30 pm. Lesson finally ended. Looze, Rachel and Kimberly packed their bags and prepared to go home.
“Remember to do your homework people. I will be checking again next Saturday!” Miss Ginny reminded everyone.
Just as Looze had stepped out of the Tuition Centre, he suddenly realized something.
“Oh no, I had left my book in the class. I better go get it, or else I won’t be able to do my homework.” Looze told Rachel.
Looze ran into the tuition centre and towards the classroom.
“Damn, the classroom is locked. Guess I have to go find Miss Ginny at the staff room.” Looze wondered aloud.
Just as Looze was approaching the staff room, he heard loud voices coming out from the staff room. Looze was sure that all voices came from the 4 teachers - Miss Ginny, Miss Joey, Mr Carl and Mr Jonas.
“You better pay me! You have been delaying for too long!” Mr Carl yelled.
“Mine is too low! It is way below what we had agreed for!” Miss Joey shouted.
“Same goes for me! Everyone here wants them now!” Mr Jonas commanded.
Looze didn’t know what they were fighting about. He dare not disturb them and decided that he would come back tomorrow for his book. But he didn’t expect that he would be embroiling himself into a case.
The next day at 9 am, Rachel and Kimberly accompanied Looze to the Tuition Centre. Rachel and Kimberly liked Miss Ginny a lot and wanted to see her again.
“I can’t wait to see Miss Ginny later!” Kimberly jumped.
“Me too! Me too!” Rachel gave a high-five to Kimberly.
Few minutes later, they reached the tuition centre. Looze was hoping that his book would still be in the classroom, or else he would be doomed.
“That’s strange. The tuition centre isn’t open today.” Looze frowned.
“But the board on the door states that it would be opened from 7 am to 3 pm on Sundays!” Rachel read off the board.
“Let me call Miss Ginny to see if she is coming. Maybe we are too early.” Kimberly suggested.
Just as Kimberly had dialed the number on her phone, a ringtone started to go off somewhere near.
“Hey, did you hear that? It sounds like a ringtone. Kimberly, hang up the phone and dial the number again.” Looze had a premonition that something bad was about to happen.
The ringtone stopped as Kimberly hanged up. It played again right after Kimberly dialed Miss Ginny’s number.
“Rach, kick the door down! The ringtone is coming from inside!” Looze insisted.
“Bang!” the door swung opened upon Rachel’s kick. Looze ran towards where the ringtone was coming from. The non-lighted up tuition centre and the ringtone made the corridor seemed eerie and frightening.
Looze ran all the way ahead, reaching to the other end of the entrance. He ended up in front of the staff room.
“Damn, it’s locked too. Rach! Kick this door down again! QUICK!” Looze shouted across the corridor.
As the door opened, no one could believe their eyes. What was right below their nose was the bloodied body of Miss Ginny lying on the floor. Looze ran up towards the corpse and confirmed that there is no hope to saving her.
“Call Inspector Max here right now, this is a murder.” Looze told Rachel.
As they were waiting for police to arrive, Looze asked Kimberly and Rachel to guard the entrance to prevent anyone from coming in. While he investigates the crime scene before it gets polluted.
“The reason of death should be a stab in the heart with a sharp object. But… where is the murder weapon? I don’t seem to find it. And this room, it feels cooler than outside, weird… The suspects are definitely one of those 3. But all of them seems to have a motive, who could it be?” Looze pondered deeply.
“Looze, you are indeed here. So what had happened?” Inspector Max had arrived.
“You see, my tuition teacher here seemed to be murdered. But I can’t find the murder weapon.” Looze reported.
“Alright, leave this to us. Tommy, bring in the forensic team!” Inspector Max yelled.
“Looze, would you explain to me more on this case outside the tuition centre, while the forensic team does their work. You could tell me about your findings too.” Inspector Max questioned.
“All that I know are that the suspects are the 3 other teachers teaching in this tuition centre. As for the other clues, I can’t seem to find any.” Looze replied.
“Scarlett, I would like you to call for the 3 other teachers here. We suspect that one of them is the murderer. Be quick about it.” Inspector Max gave his orders.
“YES SIR!” Officer Scarlett ran off.
With time ticking by, Looze did not know what to do. There were too little clues in this case. There were too many questions about this case.
Just as Looze was about to lose hope, Officer Scarlett came back with the 3 suspects.
“Inspector, here are the 3 suspects. The female, Joey Cole, 29, is also a teacher working in this tuition centre. She had started working here 3 years ago. The male who is standing on her right is Carl Kinston, 32, started working here 5 years ago. Lastly, Jonas Pane, 30, also started working here 5 years ago.” Officer Scarlett reported.
“Alright thanks for your help.” Inspector Max thanked Officer Scarlett.
As Officer Scarlett walked off, Officer Tommy came out of the tuition centre and reported the forensics findings to Inspector Max.
“Inspector, the forensic team has finished their job. It seems that there were only a few clues that they could find.” Officer Tommy started off.
“What about them?” Looze interrupted.
“The forensic had examined the corpse and determined that the estimated time of death is 11.30 pm to 12.30 am last night. It would seem that the only wound the victim had was the stab right at her heart. The forensics also found something really weird.” Officer Tommy read from his notebook.
“What is it Tommy?” Inspector Max probed.
“The forensic team found that some of the red blood cells on the blood around the body had been haemolysed. The forensic is still working to find the reason why these red blood cells had haemolysed. But they said it was probably due to osmosis into the blood cells.” Officer Tommy explained.
“Where were the haemolysed red blood cells mostly found?!” Looze interrupted once again.
“The forensics team says that they were mostly found on the outer side of the blood, flowed out blood ended.” Tommy replied.
“Thanks…” Looze digested the information.
“Alright, thanks for the information. Right now, we shall go ask the three suspects on what they were doing from 11.30 pm to 12.30 pm last night.” Inspector Max ordered.
After which, they walked towards the three suspects whom were standing at the side. They started their questionings with Mr Carl.
“Last night? I was outside with my friends at the bar. You could check with them to find out.” Mr Carl answered.
“Now, Joey Cole, what were you doing from 11.30 pm to 12.30 am last night?” Inspector Max questioned.
“I was shopping with my friends from 9pm till 11 pm. After that we took a cab home together at 11.30 pm.” Miss Joey replied.
“Where were you shopping at?” Looze asked.
“Gallant New Mall. Why?” Miss Joey wondered why Looze asked that.
“Jonas Pane, what were you doing at the same time period last night?” Inspector Max continued.
“I was at my neighbour’s house. We had been playing poker since 10 pm till 2 am. I won quite a lot yesterday you know.” Mr Jonas answered.
“Alright, Tommy, go check out their alibi to see what they were saying is true.” Inspector Max ordered.
“If what the three of them are saying is true, then all of them will have perfect alibi. Miss Joey was shopping at Gallant New Mall. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to drive from there to here. Mr Carl and Mr Jonas were with their friends.” Looze thought to himself.
“Wait a minute… If I wasn’t wrong the staff room was much cooler than the corridor when I entered. That must be the case!” Looze smiled and ran back into the staff room.
“Now, I’m right, the killer definitely made up a fake alibi for him or herself. If that’s the case, I would need Officer Tommy’s help again.” Looze smirk.
“The alibi trick has been solved. What about the murder weapon? Where could it have gone to? It couldn’t have just vaporised into thin air right?” Looze looked lost.
“Vaporise… I had finally solved it! Now I know the disappearing weapon trick. That explains why some of the red blood cells had been haemolysed.” Looze jumped with joy.
“Now that I had solved all the tricks solved, all I need to do now is to wait for Officer Tommy to report back to me. Meanwhile, I could find some solid evidence in case the culprit denied everything.” Looze snapped his fingers.
Around two hours had past since the body had been found. All that is left on the ground of the staff room is the pool of dried blood. The corpse had been taken back to Gallant City Forensic Headquarters’ for an accurate autopsy.
“Inspector, could we go now? I’m sure we have told you everything. I have things to work on.” Miss Joey pleaded.
“That’s true. You people had been here since more than an hour ago. I guess you can go now.” Inspector Max allowed.
“NOT SO FAST! I’m sure you wouldn’t want to easily let go of the culprit who is standing in front of you Inspector.” Looze interrupted.
“The culprit you say?! Did you solve the case?” Inspector Max asked.
“That’s right. I am going to reveal who that cheeky person is, the one who made all of us think that he or she wasn’t the one who killed Miss Ginny, the one who faked an alibi.” Looze smiled.
“What are you saying? You mean to say that the culprit is one of us?” Mr Carl shouted.
“I know you are a brilliant detective, but you can’t go around assuming that one of us killed Miss Ginny.” Mr Jonas added on.
“Well, I would suggest all of you to quiet down and listen to my reasoning. I am sure you will understand after I explained all of it to you.” Looze tried to calm everyone.
“First of all, I was sure that one of you killed Miss Ginny is due to the fact that I accidentally overheard the four of you quarrelling inside the staff room yesterday. This proves that each of you held a grudge and had a motive to kill her.” Looze started.
“Is that true?” Inspector Max faced the 3 suspects.
“Yes, that is right. We were quarrelling about our pay. Miss Ginny being the head teacher was supposed to give us our pay every month but, recently, things have been going wrong.” Mr Carl explained.
“She started to decrease our pay every month. She had even gone too far and decided not to give us any. When we ask her about it, she would say ‘Next time, next time. I will definitely give it to you’.” Miss Joey added.
“This is why we will not kill her! If we did, we wouldn’t get a single cent from her.” Mr Jonas was affirmative.
“Will you people calm down? Let’s continue and listen to what Looze says.” Officer Tommy placated the 3 of them.
“Thanks Officer Tommy. I shall continue then. The confirmed alibi that the three of you gave to Inspector Max cannot be used as a reference to this case. This is due to the fact that the actual time of death of Miss Ginny is not 11.30 pm to 12 am. But instead it is earlier.” Looze continued his reasoning.
“But how is that so?” Officer Tommy was puzzled.
“When I had arrived at the crime scene, I noticed that the staff room was cooler than the corridor. If I am not wrong, the air-conditioner inside the room had only been turned off not too long ago. When this happens, the body temperature of the corpse would be lowered. And you do know what will happen right?” Looze turned and faced Officer Tommy.
“The rate of rigor mortis is slowed down. And the estimated time of death will be inaccurate!” Officer Tommy exclaimed.
“Not only that, the surrounding temperature affects the rate of drop of body temperature, when the surround temperature is changed, the coroner cannot determine an accurate estimated time of death from the liver temperature.” Inspector Max further added.
“What’s rigor mortis, and what do you mean by the drop of body temperature?” Rachel voiced out from behind.
“When someone dies, rigor mortis will set in about 3 hours later. This means that the body will become stiffer and stiffer and eventually hard. This is how the estimated time of death can be determined by the stiffness of the body. But, the surrounding temperature affects the rate at the body becomes stiff. A cold surrounding will slow down the rate of rigor mortis.” Looze explained clearly.
“As for the drop of body temperature, the body temperature will drop at about 1.5 degree Celsius after death in room temperature. But when the surrounding temperature is lowered, the rate at which the body temperature drops will is slowed down.” Looze further explained.
“Oh! So you mean that Miss Ginny is killed much earlier than 11.30 pm?” Rachel asked in awe.
“That’s right. If I am not wrong, Miss Ginny should have been killed at around 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm last night. The cause of death is of course a sharp object droved into her heart.” Looze concluded.
“No wonder Looze asked me to investigate those things.” Officer Tommy finally understood.
“What did he ask you to investigate?” Inspector Max asked.
“Looze told me to find out what the suspects were doing from 5 pm to 10 pm.” Officer Tommy answered.
“And what were the leads Officer Tommy?” Looze was eager to know.
“Mr Carl was with his friend at a coffee shop from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm afterwards, he went to meet his friends at a bar. As for Mr Jonas, he entered his condominium at 5.43 pm as stated in the CCTV. And then he never came out.” Officer Tommy revealed.
“What about Miss Joey?” Looze stared at Miss Joey.
“She was still at the tuition centre from till 6 pm since she still had lessons till then. It seems Miss Ginny also had lesson till 6 pm too. But afterwards, there seems to be no witness against Miss Joey.” Officer Tommy continued.
“Hence, there should be no alibi for Miss Joey during the estimated time of death of 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. This means that Miss Joey, you are the murderer!” Looze pointed his fingers.
“What?! It definitely isn’t me!” Miss Joey’s face turned pale.
“At 6 pm, both you and Miss Ginny ended your last lesson. Both of you thus went into the staff room and Miss Ginny prepared her things to go home. You took that chance to quarrel with her, allowing time to pass so that all the students could leave the area around the tuition centre. By the time both of you quarreled finished, you took out the murder object and killed her.” Looze deduced.
“But what is the murder weapon?” Inspector Max yelled.
“ICE. It was basically ice. You brought an ice which was shaped sharp and pointed at the tip, just like a cone. You placed it inside a plastic bag, wrap it and place it into an icebox full of ice so that the shape can be sustain from the morning until the time you can finally kill her. After u killed her, you went ahead and make sure the air-conditioned would be at its lowest temperature. After that you left the scene.” Looze deduced.
“But you knew that if the police were to find out that the air-conditioner was on when the body was found, they will definitely suspect that it was a trick that was set up. So you came early this morning, to turn off the air-conditioner. Of course, the ice that you had used to stab Miss Ginny probably melted over the night and also evaporated. This is why the some of the red blood cell found had been haemolysed, due to the osmosis of water into the cell from the melted ice.” Looze explained.
“You probably knew about the rigor mortis trick since you are a biology teacher. I am right aren’t I?” Looze smiled.
“Hahaha, very nice deductions, but all of those are just plain theory. If you think that it really is me, show me solid proof!” Miss Joey laughed.
“You want it, I have it.” Looze held up a shiny object between his thumb and index finger.
“That is…” Miss Joey was loss for words.
“I’m sure that this looks very familiar to you, since can see them most of the time on your finger nails.” Looze walked towards her and picked up her hand.
“A perfect match!” Looze compared the shiny acrylic diamond on Miss Joey’s nail decorations to the one between his fingers.
“Where did I find it? You must be thinking. I found it at the pool of dried blood after Miss Ginny’s corpse had been taken away. It was near the edge of the dried blood stuck to the ground. This acrylic diamond must have stuck onto the ice that you were holding due to the fact that you didn’t wear any glove. Why will you wear gloves when the ice is going to melt right?” Looze assumed.
“After the ice melted, the acrylic diamond fell off and got stuck onto the blood on the ground. If you didn’t kill Miss Ginny, why will this be here?” Looze questioned.
At this moment, everyone was silent. Miss Joey stared at the ground with tears dripping down the eyes. She fell onto her knees and did not say anything, she was full of regret. Officer Scarlett then handcuffed her and brought her to the patrol car.
After questioning Miss Joey at the police station, they found that Miss Joey really needed the money as her mother was diagnosed with an illness. She regretted killing Miss Ginny as she failed to get any money in the end. And also, she had to be put in jail, unable to take care of her sick mother.

The tales of Tale 6: Detectives Arrived! (Part 4)
--- Recap ---
Zen was murdered! Then, Hong was murdered! Looze seemed to find out who the murderer really is. Do you know who?
--- Story ---
Looze smiled and walked back to find Inspector James to tell him the truth but he was stopped by the detective from New York, Amy.
“Looze, could you come here for a moment?” Amy requested.
“Yes? What do you want from me?” Looze asked as he walked.
“It seems like you know Masaki Souno. Is that right?” Amy asked.
“I don’t really know him well. But I met him on a case.” Looze answered.
“Please do not get too close with him. He may not be the type of person that you actually know.” Amy advised Looze.
“What do you mean?” Looze wondered.
Just then, Amy reached her hand into her pocket. She took out a badge and flashed it to Looze. Upon looking at it, Looze’s eyes widen and had a loss for speech.
“You… You… Are an FBI agent?” Looze could not believe what he saw.
“Yes I am. Please do not tell anyone about it. I am currently undercover in search of the Criminal Organization, Red Faces.” Amy declared.
“Red Faces? Who are they?” Looze insisted.
“As I said, they are a Criminal Organization. They are capable of doing anything like murder, bombing, arson, etc. What the problem is that they leave no trace of evidence once they commit these crimes. Their leader, codename Red Head is a very mysterious and cruel person. Although he rarely makes his own actions, he never fails when he does.” Amy explained.
“But what does that have to do with Souno? Don’t tell me that he is in Red Faces?” Looze seek his answers.
“We are not confirmed if he is in Red Faces. But he is being suspected to be one of them, codename Red Wings. That is all I can reveal to you, the rest are confidential. Once again, please keep a secret that I am an FBI agent, and keep away from Masaki Souno.” Amy ended.
“Alright, I will, don’t worry.” Looze acknowledged.
Just as they finish, both Amy and Looze went back to the second floor and headed towards Inspector James.
“What? So you know who the real culprit is?” Inspector James raised his eyebrows.
“Yes, if you don’t mind, gathered the 3 suspects to the living room and I shall deduce there.” Looze ordered.
As soon as everyone gathered at the living room, Looze began his reasoning.
“As everyone here knows, the culprit is right before us and is among those 3. I am pretty sure that the other detectives know who the real culprit really is. Am I wrong?” Looze began by asking.
All of them smiled and just glanced among those 3 suspects, knowing in their heart who is the real culprit.
“Let me start from the murder of Zen. The murderer for both Zen and Hong are different. This is because the one who murdered Zen was Hong. Hong managed to kill Zen one the way to his room to get the cards.” Looze started his deductions.
“While walking up to the second floor, Hong put on his glove on his right hand and took out the knife. Upon reaching Zen’s room, Hong knocked on the door. After Zen opened the door, Hong immediately used his right hand, which was holding on to the knife, to stab Zen right into his heart. But Zen managed to use struggle back, scratching Hong’s left hand, which is not wearing any glove. Coincidentally, Hong manage to scratch back Zen’s right hand.” Looze further added on.
“No wonder skin fragments were found on Zen’s right finger nails and Hong’s left finger nails.” Officer Violet finally understood.
“After the struggles, Hong pushed Zen down to the floor, leaving the knife still intact into the chest. After that he used his right hand to lock and close the door. This is why blood was found all over the door knob.” Looze deduced.
“Why use his right hand? He could have used his left hand right?” Tuan wondered aloud.
“That was because he was afraid of leaving fingerprints on the door knob.” Looze answered.
“That wouldn’t matter right? Hong could have claimed that he open the door from the outside to enter, and opened the door from the inside to leave the room.” Tuan insisted.
“The lock button… It was due to the lock button. He didn’t want to leave any fingerprints on the lock button. It would be weird if someone else’s fingerprints were found on the lock button when normally it would be the owner who locks the door.” Gregson answered for Looze.
“After that, he went back to take the cards, then appearing out like nothing had happened.” Looze continued.
“What about his gloves? Was it found anywhere?” Qin interrupted.
“Since his room is just 2 rooms away from the toilet, he could have easily flushed the glove down the toilet bowl anytime.” Steven replied.
“Right… The murder of Zen is now solved. Now we need to know the murder of Hong.” Inspector James noted the case into his notebook.
“Just as we were waiting for the results from the forensic team, the 4 other suspects were ordered to wait in their room. At this point of time, the culprit manages to enter Hong’s room and made him consume Potassium Cyanide. After that, hang the culprit up, went back to his room and pretend nothing had happened.” Looze started his second deduction.
“And that will be you! Mr Qin!” Looze snapped his fingers and pointed at Qin.
At that point, the detectives present smiled and gave a stern look at Qin. Marc and Tuan were shocked and did not believe what Looze had said.
“What? Me? Are you kidding me? How can it be me?” Qin denied.
“Don’t try to deny, of course it’s you. Who else could it be?” Souno voiced out.
“Do you have any evidence that can prove that I am the one?” Qin yelled.
“You claimed that at that point of time, you heard a loud thud. But, you forgot one more thing.” Raul laughed.
“What do you mean?” Qin was speechless.
“It was the scream of mine.” Amy smiled.
“That’s right. The loud thud sound was probably when Hong dropped to the floor after the effects of the Cyanide poison had taken place. After the dropped to the floor, he began groaning in pain. Due to the groan and also with the fact that you were anxious, the scream that was let out by Amy was unheard to you.” Looze explained.
“You call me the culprit base on that? Give me solid proof if you think I am the culprit!” Qin shouted.
“We found foot prints on the surface of the chair by the bed. You must have step on it while trying to hang Hong onto the rope. Normally, when we sit on the chair, we mostly wipe of all the prints that are present. But the foot prints that we found were clearly visible. If we were to compare it to yours, we will know exactly if you have killed Hong.” Looze presented the proof.
“It seems like I can’t hide it any much longer. It’s true that I killed Hong. But I’ve actually wanted to the both of them! Zen that bastard, not only he tried to borrow money from my girlfriend, he even managed to scam my parents 10 million dollars. My mum was shocked and even fainted. Now she’s in the hospital.” Qin clenched his fist hard.
“When I found out Zen was killed, I was relief as I didn’t have to kill 2 people. So I went ahead to kill Hong, who… FUCKING RAPE MY GIRLFRIEND! I couldn’t forgive him, and I will never forgive him. BOTH OF THEM DESERVE TO DIE!” Qin screamed as he fell onto his knees.
As the case was closed, Qin was being brought back to the police station. The other detectives left in their cars. As for Looze, he walked out to the road junction, hoping to be able to catch a cab. As he was waiting, an unexpected arrival came. A red Ferrari 612 Scaglietti came up towards him. Inside were Souno and Steven.
“Hey Looze! Heading back to Gallant City? I can give you a ride. Steven is heading back too.” Souno offered.
“Sure, thanks a lot!” Looze smiled.
As Looze sat in Souno’s car, he was reminded of what Amy Jules the FBI agent had told him. Is Amy telling the truth about the Red Faces? Can Looze trust Souno?

The tales of Tale 6: Detectives Arrived! (Part 3)
--- Recap ---
Looze and the other detectives were investigating on Zen's murder. But Hong was murdered too! Will they find out the real culprit? Read on to find out!
--- Story ---
“Hong was murdered?!” Officer Violet screamed.
“Yes, the cause of death is not strangulation. Instead, it is cyanide poisoning.” Raul elaborated.
“But how do you know?” Officer Violet wondered in awe.
“There is almond smell coming from Hong’s mouth. This proves that Potassium Cyanide has been ingested. The Potassium Cyanide reacts with the acid from his gastric fluid, producing this almond smell.” Looze explained.
“So it is safe to say that someone poisoned her with Potassium Cyanide and then hang her up.” Steven added on.
“So the real culprit killed both Hong and Zen?” Officer Violet questioned.
“I wouldn’t say that. Look under the left index finger nail of Hong. There are some skin fragments too. If this skin fragments were to belong to Zen, then it is no doubt that Hong killed Zen.” Amy answered.
“If that were true, then, some other person in this mansion killed Hong, and they are still in their room.” Inspector James evaluated.
“How about we go to their room and question them?” Officer Violet suggested.
“It looks like we have no choice. May I know which room belongs to whom?” Inspector James asked.
“The first room, which is nearest to the stairs, belongs to the first victim Zen. The second room belongs to Marc. Third will be this room. Next door belongs to Qin and the last will have to be occupied by Tuan.” Ada revealed.
“Alright, let’s start off with questioning Marc. Violet, please contact the forensic team to analyze the skin fragments under Hong’s fingernail. Meanwhile we will be questioning the suspects.” Inspector James ordered.
“Yes sir! I will do it right away.” Officer Violet took off.
Everyone then headed towards Marc’s room, hoping that they could get a lead to this case by asking the three of the suspects.
“What?! Hong died too? No way…” Marc softened his voice.
“That’s right. We would like to know what you were doing when the incident happened.” Inspector James questioned.
“I was in my room all the while. I didn’t dare to go out. I stayed in my room reading
The Sign of Four. Is the murderer the same as the one who killed Zen?” Marc insisted.
“Did you notice anything when you were alone in this room? Like sounds or anything.” Steven interrupted.
“Oh yes! I heard a loud thud sound. I think it was coming from Hong’s room. I did manage to hear a loud scream afterwards too.” Marc justified.
“Ohhh? A loud thud huh?” Steven raised his eyebrows.
“May I know if anyone had any unhappiness with Zen or Hong?” Looze asked.
“Of course there is! Both Qin and Tuan, including me had issues with Zen and Hong. Zen was a bully. He would like to borrow money from us and never returns then. Hong was a joker, but the jokes he makes sometimes insults our family. No one likes the both of them.” Marc disclosed.
After which, they moved on to the fourth room, hoping that Qin would give them some lead.
“So he was murdered by the same person who killed Zen?” Qin asked.
“We can’t say that for now but mind answering a few questions?” Inspector James probed.
“Sure, no problem, go ahead and ask.” Qin agreed.
“May I know what you were doing at the point when you were waiting in your room?” Inspector James asked the same question again.
“I was in my room the whole time reading this book.” Qin answered.
“Oh? Isn’t this
The Valley of Fear by
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle?” Gregson sounded impressed.
“Did you by any chance hear anything weird when you were in your room?” Steven questioned.
“Yea, it was a loud thud. And it was really loud. It came from Hong’s room I think.” Qin replied.
“Do you have disputes with Zen or Hong before?” Looze asked.
“Everyone in this mansion definitely have disputes with them. Both of them were so hateful. Hong tried to flirt with my girlfriend, and said that he was joking. Zen was even much more hateful. He once borrowed money from me and never returned it. He had even gone to borrow from my girlfriend!” Qin expressed his anger.
Finally, they visited the owner of the last room, Tuan.
“He was murdered? That serves him right for trying to test my patience.” Tuan mentioned.
“May we know what happen?” Ada begged.
“Hong was always insulting me over and over again. He always acted like he was the boss of everything. Ordering me around, asking me to do his things. I hate him.” Tuan vented his anger.
“So what were you doing inside you room?” Inspector James enquired.
“I was in my room reading
The Hound of the Baskervilles. Is there a problem with that?” Tuan probed.
“What’s with everyone reading books about Sherlock Holmes?” Souno smiled to himself.
“So did you hear anything while reading the book?” Steven asked again.
“Yea, I heard a really loud thud. Afterwards there was a loud scream.” Tuan revealed.
“Alright, thank you for your time. You may close the door now until we call you again.” Inspector James thanked Tuan politely.
“So that is what really happened. No wonder bloods were found on the door knob of Zen’s room. Now I know who killed Hong, but I need concrete evidence. Wait a minute… Its might be there!” Looze started to run off.
“Found it, I found the perfect evidence. Let me just tell Officer Violet about that.” Looze thought deeply in his mind.
“Officer Violet! Could you help me with this? ……” Looze whispered into Officer Violet ears.
“Oh sure, I can do that.” Officer Violet agreed to help.
“Now, it time for the deduction.” Looze gave a wide smile.

The tales of Tale 6: Detectives Arrived! (Part 2)
--- Recap ---
Looze and other detectives were invited to a dinner. But after dinner, a murder case had happened. Will Looze and the other detectives be able to find out the culprit? Find out now!
--- Story ---
“It seems like he was murdered not too long ago.” Looze commented.
“Yea, our suspects will definitely be the two of them.” Steven added on.
“Windows on the opposite side of the door are locked. The master keys are found next to the bedside too. It may be a sealed-room murder.” Gregson suggested.
“Not quite a seal-room murder yet. I’ve checked that all of the rooms on this floor have doors that have door knobs with a button on the inside of the room. By pushing the button, you can lock the door when you close the door.” Raul examined.
“So it would seem that after the murderer stabbed Zen, he pushed the button on the door knob. After that, left the room and closed the door.” Looze deduced.
“Not to mention, the only people who can do that are Hong and Qin.” Steven suspected.
“Alright, let’s leave this room and wait in the living room until the police arrived.” Amy advised everyone.
Soon afterwards, the police finally arrived to the crime scene.
“Hi, my name is James Blue. I am the inspector of the Towns City Metropolitan Police. Beside me is Violet Dexter. She is an officer of the Towns City Metropolitan Police.” Inspector James introduced.
“So may we know what had happened?” Officer Violet questioned.
And so, everyone explained the situation to Inspector James. The detectives gave specific details of the crime scene to Officer Violet who was taking down notes.
“I see. So all of you are detectives? Even Looze and Steven are here.” Inspector James wondered.
“Alright, get the forensic team to examine the scene, while I question everyone in the living room. Join me as soon as possible.” Inspector James ordered.
“Yes sir. I shall do that immediately.” Officer Violet nodded her head.
“Now, will you tell me what everyone was doing at that time?” Inspector James asked.
“Most of us were in the living room chatting. Only Zen and Qin went to their room upstairs to rest as they were tired.” Tuan answered.
“But soon after, we decided to play card games. So I went to my room to take the deck of cards.” Hong added on.
“After Hong went upstairs, Amy and I decided to call Zen and Qin to join us. We knocked on Zen’s door first, but no one was answering.” Ada further elaborated.
“And that’s when u broke down the door right?” Inspector James directed.
“Inspector, the forensic team has finished their job. It seems that they found skin fragments on the right index finger nail of the victim. Further more, they found out that blood was present on the door knob inside and outside of the room. Both the skin fragments and blood are now being sent back to the lab for DNA test. Fingerprints were also not found on the handle of the knife.” Officer Violet reported.
“Thanks for the hard work Violet. Now, all of you please give a sample of your DNAs to the forensic team. While waiting for the results, the 4 of you wait in your rooms and the detectives, please wait here in the living room.” Inspector James commanded.
“So the culprit wore gloves when dealing with Zen, but, blood on the door knob inside and outside of the room? What is this?” Looze thought hardly.
“Ahhhhhh! I forgot about my appointment with my client!” Amy shouted.
“Oh? What time is it?” Souno inquire.
“9pm. Look at the time now, I don’t think I will make it. The police won’t be releasing us any time soon. I guess I have to cancel my appointment.” Amy frowned.
“Who was that screaming so loud? I could even hear it in the toilet.” Gregson laughed.
“Be quiet. Amy is talking to her client now.” Souno announced.
“Mr Gregson, may I know where the toilet is?” Looze asked politely.
“It’s all the way to the end on the second floor.” Gregson directed Looze.
“Thanks!” Looze smiled.
“For the time being, our primary suspects are Qin and Hong. Qin could have killed Zen when the both of them were upstairs resting. For Hong, he could have killed Zen when he was on his way up to get the cards. But for one thing I am unclear. Why are blood found on the door knobs? The blood is most likely Zen’s and is left by the culprit. If the culprit had worn gloves, blood probably got on the glove that held the knife when he stabbed Zen. But the other hand shouldn’t have blood on it. So he could have used the other hand to close the door. Unless…” Looze pondered while on his way to the toilet.
It has been 30 minutes and the detectives in the living room were restless. Raul, Gregson and Souno decided to head outside to take a puff. Just then, a phone call to Officer Violet arrived.
“Inspector, it’s the forensic team. The blood found on the door knob is tested and proved to belong to Zen. The skin fragment, on the other hand, belongs to Hong!” Officer Violet announced the results.
“It seems like our culprit is Hong. Let’s move out and arrest him.” Inspector James instructed.
Everyone got to the doorsteps of Hong. But something was amiss.
“Look, the door is close properly.” Steven pointed out.
Inspector James pushed open the door. However, the culprit doesn’t seem to be as the police deduced. Hong was in his room, hung to a rope. On the table beside the bed was a piece of paper, with words written on it.
I am terribly sorry but I have to confess.
I am the one that killed Zen.
Zen was forcing me to pay back all the money I borrowed from him.
If not, he would expose me for embezzling with the company’s money.
After I killed him, I was guilt stricken.
I decided to atone for my sins.
“So Hong committed suicide.” Officer Violet declared.
“Don’t be fooled by that suicide letter and this rope Officer Violet.” Looze conveyed.
“He did not commit suicide.” Steven claimed.
“He was murdered.” Raul voiced out.

The tales of Tale 6: Detectives Arrived! (Part 1)
--- Intro ---
“Why not we do this Tuan?” a voice echoed across the room.
“Hmm, great idea Hong! Let’s invite all of them!” Tuan agreed.
“Are the three of us invited too?” another voice came about.
“Zen! Qin! Marc! Of course the 3 of you are invited too!” Hong shouted.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Qin claimed.
“What’s wrong with this Qin?” Hong questioned.
“Nothing, but, I just have a bad feeling about this.” Qin whispered.
--- Story ---
The sun was shining brightly into Looze’s bedroom. It was already 8 am and Looze had not waked up yet. The school holidays had started and Looze decided to sleep in late. But yet, he doesn’t know that when he was sleeping, someone had placed a letter at the footsteps in front of the house door.
“Ding… Dong!” the doorbell rang.
“Its only 8 am. Who would be so early especially during the holidays?” Looze complained.
Just as Looze opened the door, he noticed the white envelope placed right below him. He picked it up and read the content of the letter that is inside.
Dear Looze,
We are inviting you to a dinner at my house.
It would be at the Rose Mansion in Towns City this coming Sunday.
We would be please if you were to come.
-Hong
P.S. Many other detectives are coming too.
“Other detectives are coming too. This sounds fun, I’m definitely going.” Looze smiled.
That Sunday, everyone gathered outside the Rose Mansion. About six other detectives were present. They were, Gregson Tame from London, Amy Jules from New York, Ada Hertz from Germany, and Raul Costa from Italy. The two other were kind of shocking. Steven Luster, also a high school detective from Gallant City. Masaki Souno, a detective from Japan.
“What a coincidence to see you here Looze.” Souno greeted.
“You are a detective too?” Looze jumped.
“That’s right! Sorry I didn’t helped you out that time. I wanted to look at you deductive skills.” Souno laughed.
At that moment, the doors of the mansion swung opened. Behind the doors, there stood five men ready to greet them.
“It seems like all of you are here! Gregson Tame, Amy Jules, Ada Hertz, Raul Costa, Steven Luster, Looze Tale and Masaki Souno I welcome all of you. My name is Hong, next to me are Tuan and Qin. Next to Tuan will be Marc and next to Qin is Zen.” Hong welcomed everyone.
“Now, will all of you please come in and settle down at the dining table. The food had all been placed neatly on the table.” Hong instructed.
Everyone went into the mansion, looking forward to the dinner that the five hosts had prepared. They settle down in a rectangular dining table of twelve.
The detectives sat at one side and the hosts at the other, Ada had to sit with the host as there were no seats available on the other side.
“Alright everyone, let’s start digging!” Tuan shouted.
Everyone ate with joy while they started sharing about their adventures in solving crime. The five hosts were not detectives, but they were fans of mystery novels and crime stories, especially the novels on Sherlock Holmes.
Just as everyone had finished their meals, Gregson, Souno and Raul went outside to take a smoke. Ada and Amy helped out Hong and Tuan in the kitchen to wash the dishes. Looze, Steven, Qin, Zen and Marc were chatting in the living room.
“I’m a little tired. I shall go take a rest in the room upstairs.” Zen commented.
“Me too, I shall go with you.” Qin suggested.
Soon they took off to their rooms. Gregson, Souno and Raul came back into the mansion and settle down with those in the living room. Soon after, those in the kitchen came out too.
“Hey, anyone want to play some cards?” Hong asked.
“Sure! We have nothing to do anyway.” Looze consented.
“Alright, give me a moment, I shall go to my room and take the cards.” Hong walked off.
“Should we call Zen and Qin out to play too?” Amy wondered.
“Why not? Let me come along with you.” Ada smiled.
Both Ada and Amy went up to the second floor and knocked on Zen’s room. But no matter how hard they knock, nobody answered. Just then, Hong walked out of his room.
“What’s wrong?” Hong questioned.
“Zen doesn’t seem to be answering the door.” Ada replied.
“Zen! Zen! Are you in there?” Hong shouted while knocking.
Just at the moment, Qin came out from his room.
“What’s with the noise?” Qin asked.
“Zen isn’t answering the door. He doesn’t usually do that.” Hong answered.
“Can it be that he is sleeping too soundly?” Qin advised.
Just then, everyone from the living room came to the second floor due to the fuss.
“What’s wrong?” Looze wondered.
“Zen isn’t answering the door.” Qin replied.
“That’s weird. Zen doesn’t do that.” Tuan commented.
“Could it be that something happened? Is there a master key?” Souno asked.
“Yes there is. I shall go get it.” Hong ran off.
“I can’t find it anywhere!” Hong shouted as they ran back.
“No choice, we have to break down the door.” Raul advised.
Raul, Gregson and Souno stood in front of the door. At the count of 3, the door broke down. But, that revealed a shocking scene in front of everyone’s eye. The body of Zen was at the foot of his bed on the floor. Covered with blood and a knife right in his chest, Zen was murdered.
Looze and Steven rushed towards the body. Gregson took out his phone. Raul put on his gloves. Souno brought the 4 hosts back to the living room. Ada and Amy stayed outside. The detectives were ready to work.

The tales of Tale 5: The Science Code
It was the weekends and Looze, Rachel, along with Rachel’s best friend Kimberly were going for a science exhibition held at Gallant City Exhibition Hall. Rachel had seen the advertisement for this exhibition last Friday in the newspapers and had taken in much interest. So she decided to call for her best friend and Looze to go together.
“Looze! Remember not to be late for the science exhibition!” Rachel reminded Looze over the phone 2 hours before they were suppose to meet.
“Okay, okay! You don’t have to remind me again and again.” Looze replied with an irritated voice and then hung up.
Two hours later, Looze, Rachel and Kimberly met outside the entrance of Gallant City Exhibition Hall. Looze had worn his favourite white polo shirt with a pair of jeans. Rachel wore a blue top and blue shirt while Kimberly wore a green dress.
“Rachel!” Kimberly shouted.
“Kimberly!” Rachel shouted while hugging Kimberly.
“Must girls always hug each other everytime they see each other?” Looze wondered with an irritated face.
Soon, they started too move into the exhibition hall. Inside the exhibition hall, they saw many interesting things that appeared to be unknown to the world. Of course, Looze had the knowledge of every single object being displayed there.
“Oh look! The human skeleton! I never thought the human skeleton was made up of so many bones!” Rachel yelled.
“Human adults have 206 bones in our skeleton, while an infant has 350 bones in their skeleton. The bones of an infant fuses together as he grows up. And more than half of the 206 bones are found in our hands and feet.” Looze commented.
“Really? Amazing! I never knew bones fuses together as we grow up since a baby.” Kimberly shouted excitedly.
“Kimberly, I saw a section right at the corner about medicine making. Let’s go check it out!” yelled Rachel.
Rachel and Kimberly took off towards the medicine making section. And found out what processes are involved in medicine making. They even get to find out different part of the body of an elephant, lion and other animals in the animals section.
Looze blindly followed them around the exhibition. Then, one the displays in the exhibition struck his interest. He walked up towards a huge chart with the names and chemical formulas of every single compound that have been discovered on Earth.
“What is that Looze?” Rachel asked.
“A chart on all the compounds that have been discovered on earth!” Looze replied with his eyes stuck to the chart.
“They must have spent a whole lot of time getting this chart done.” Looze thought to himself.
“You seemed very interested in that, young man.” a voice came from behind.
“Ah, yes. I’m very curious to know how long it took to complete chart.” Looze said out his thoughts.
“Hahaha, well, this really took us some time. Around a year I could say.” the man of the same voice replied.
“You call a year ‘some time’? It’s so long!” Kimberly shouted.
“Well, it’s for the exhibition after all. Let me introduce. My name is Ray Powell, the person who had opened this science exhibition.” the same man introduced.
“Hey, don’t forget I helped on completing the chart too!” a female voice came from across the hall.
“Who is she?” Rachel asked.
“That is my student. Crystal Lane.” Mr Ray replied.
“Student? What do you mean?” Looze questioned.
“Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself clearly enough. I am a professor at a university in London. My students and I had prepared this exhibition. Other than Crystal, I have another student who is here today too. There she is, meet Caroline Oliver.” Mr Ray explained and pointed to Caroline whom was walking towards them.
“I heard my name professor. Are you talking bad about me behind my back?” Caroline asked.
“Of course not! Why would I do that? I was only introducing you to these teenagers here.” Mr Ray explained to Caroline.
“You better not be talking behind my back.” Caroline joked.
“Alright, I shall be going to the staff office now. I need to prepare for a presentation later.” Mr Ray waved goodbye.
“There is a staff office here?” Looze asked.
“Yes, it is located right beside the washrooms on the left.” Caroline explained.
“Looze, can we continue to look at the rest of the displays?” Rachel asked impatiently.
“Alright, alright. Let’s go.” Looze confirmed.
So, the 3 of them continued to tour around the exhibition hall. Most of the displays fascinated both Kimberly and Rachel, but none fascinated Looze. Looze was only fascinated by the chart of compounds.
Not long later, an announcement spread across the exhibition hall.
“To all visitors, the presentation by Mr Ray Powell will be starting soon. Please kindly move to the presentation area before the presentation starts. Thank you.” the announcement ended.
“Quick, let’s go to the presentation area. I don’t want to miss out any seats available.” Rachel yelled.
Soon, many people were seated and waiting for Mr Ray to start the presentation. But minutes passed by and Mr Ray did not showed up.
“What is taking Mr Ray so long?” Kimberly wondered out loud.
“AHHHHHHHHH!” a sudden scream broke out.
Looze jumped out from his seat and quickly ran over to where the scream was. As expected, the scream gave hint to what Looze would be getting him into.
Right behind the doors of the staff office, was Mr Ray himself lying on the ground with a knife stabbed into his abdomen. A pool of blood was surrounding the bloody man. Looze went towards Mr Ray and checked on his pulse.
“Quick, call the police! Mr Ray is dead.” Looze demanded Caroline who had let out the scream.
While the police were on their way, Looze reminded everyone to not step into the crime scene. He even asked both Kimberly and Rachel to stop anyone from going in, while he examines the room and the corpse.
Indeed, there was something left behind in the crime scene. Right beside the fingers of Mr Ray was a code left behind.
It says – 6 18 8 3 10
The code was written by Mr Ray using his own blood. Looze continued to look for more clues.
“The room isn’t messy. Mr Ray doesn’t seem to have any bruises on him. It doesn’t show a sign of resistance. Most probably, he was murdered by someone that he is familiar with.” Looze thought.
“And what does 6 18 8 3 10 stands for? Is this a dying message? Or is this left by the culprit?” Looze questioned himself.
Looze walked towards the entrance to see is any possible clues are left there. But from afar, one man peered into the room suspiciously and Looze thought he might be connected to the case.
Minutes later, sirens of the patrol cars can be heard. The police officer came into the crime scene and familiar faces were acknowledged.
“Good to see you Inspector Max.” Looze gave a wide smile.
“You again Looze?” Inspector Max frowned.
“Alright everyone, let’s get to work.” Inspector Max commanded.
“So what have you found out Looze?” Officer Tommy questioned.
“Mr Ray Powell might have been killed by someone he is familiar with. And the numbers written by him might be a dying message that could help us find out who the culprit is.” Looze answered.
“Look at the pool of blood. Blood must have been splattered at the culprit.” Officer Tommy commented.
“Then we should do a luminol test on our suspects’ clothing. Do you have anyone that is being suspected Looze?” Officer Scarlett added on.
“Crystal Lane and Caroline Oliver are suspected. But I doubt there will be a positive luminol test.” said Looze.
“Who are they? And what do you mean?” Inspector Max questioned.
“Both of them are Mr Ray’s student in a university in London. They are just right at the entrance.” Looze introduced.
“And the culprit must have used something to cover over his or her body like a raincoat or had changed their clothes.” Looze continued replying.
“So what I suggest is to look for something like that.” Looze suggested.
“Alright everyone, search the whole exhibition hall for something that can be used to cover the body or discarded clothing that are covered in blood!” Inspector Max ordered.
Looze walked out of the crime scene and toward the exhibition hall. He took a deep breath and started thinking hard. Then again, he saw the same man who was peering into the staff office earlier on. The expression on the man’s face was all anxious and frightened.
Looze continued walking down the exhibition hall. Soon, he passed by the chart of compounds. He looked up and observed the chart. Then, a sudden strike of deductions came into his mind.
“Now I know, now I know who the murderer is! But, I need to have concrete evidence. The problem is how?” Looze wondered.
Looze walked back to the crime scene, hoping that he would find any evidence. As he was walking back, he saw the same man again, hanging around outside the entrance of the staff office.
Inside the staff office, Officer Scarlett was questioning both Crystal and Caroline. She took down all the notes from her questions. Suddenly, Officer Scarlett dropped her pen. Caroline bent down to help Officer Scarlett picked it up.
“Thank you.” Officer Scarlett thanked Caroline with a wide smile.
With a blink of an eye, Looze gave a wide smile. He walked towards Officer Tommy and whispered into his ears.
“Officer Tommy, could you do me a favour?” Looze pleaded.
“Sure, what do you need?” Officer Tommy agreed.
“I would like you to find an important evidence. A very important evidence for this murder case…” Looze smiled.
Minutes later, Officer Tommy came back reporting to Looze.
“So what have you found out?” Looze asked.
“It’s confirmed. It is indeed as you had guessed. But how did you know?” Officer Tommy reported with doubt.
“I shall explain later. But first, could you ask Inspector Max, Officer Scarlett and the two suspects to gather here? Call Kimberly and Rachel in as well, including him. I shall announce who the murderer is.” Looze gave a grin.
Not much longer later, everyone gathered at the staff office. Looze prepared to make his deduction speech.
“Why are we all gathered here?” Crystal asked.
“This is because I am going to reveal who the murderer is.” Looze replied.
“Reveal who the murderer is? Who do you think you are?” Crystal laughed.
“My name is Looze Tale, a detective!” Looze pointed out.
“Looze Tale? That famous high school detective?” Caroline was stupefied.
“Alright, time for me to reveal who the murderer is. And it is one of the two of you!” Looze pointed to Crystal and Caroline.
“Are you crazy? One of us is the murderer?” Caroline replied agitatedly.
“Yes, it is one of you. And I would be glad to say that it is you, Miss Caroline.” Looze announced.
“Me? How can it be me?!” Caroline denied.
“You see the numbers on the floor that is written by Mr Ray? That is actually a dying message that points out to you. The numbers 6 18 8 3 10 actually spells out your name.” Looze deduced.
“It is very easy. The number represents the atomic mass of five of the elements in the periodic table. The element with an atomic mass of 6 is Carbon. The element with atomic mass of 18 is Argon. 8 will be Oxygen, with 3 be Lithium and 10 be Neon.” Looze further explained.
“If you were to change those elements into their chemical formula, while keeping the numbers in the order that is written, that will give C, Ar, O, Li and Ne. This would spell out C-A-R-O-L-I-N-E, which points out to you, Miss Caroline.” Looze added on.
“Uh… No way, but, that doesn’t mean I am the real murderer. Crystal can be the murderer too!” Caroline denied.
“That would be impossible. This is because Miss Crystal is with his ex-boyfriend during the time of murder.” Officer Tommy replied.
“Could you please come out, Mr Johnson?” Officer Tommy ordered.
The same suspicious man appeared from behind the walls and admitted that he was actually with Miss Crystal during the time of murder. He was trying to patch up with Crystal when they had broken up few days back.
“He can be lying too! He is Crystal’s ex-boyfriend! He can be covering for her!” Caroline shouted.
“Where is your bracelet may I ask?” Looze let out a grin.
“What does my bracelet got anything to do with the case?” Caroline panicked.
“When I had first met you, you were wearing your diamond bracelet on your right hand. But just now when you were picking up Officer Scarlett’s pen, I saw that the bracelet was gone.” Looze explained.
“I… I… I had taken it out. It was getting a little uncomfortable on my wrist.” Caroline stuttered.
“Then would you mind taking it out for us to have a luminol test on it? I am sure that it would react with the blood that had been splattered on it while you killed Mr Ray. Even if you had cleaned it thoroughly, it wouldn’t work. Luminol is very sensitive to human blood.” Looze countered.
“That’s right… I kill him. It was because he had always been bias to Crystal! He always neglected me, never thought about me. He even wanted to ask Crystal to be his assistant! I could not stand it, that’s why…” Caroline fell onto her knees, crying.
Caroline was taken away into the patrol cars, looking at the scene, Looze let out a sigh, wanting to know why people want to commit crimes. Rachel and Kimberly stood beside Looze, looking at the sad scene of another person being taken away.

The tales of Tale 4: Kidnapped Girl
--- Intro ---
“Hi, small little kid, I have come to get you!” the creepy voice of the kidnapper got across a dark warehouse.
“What do you want from me?” the innocent Sarah asked.
“I want money and… YOUR LIFE!” the kidnapper grinned.
“No! Daddy! Help me!” Sarah shouted.
--- Story ---
In the evening, police from the Gallant City district stopped by a house of the owner named Kelvin Jones. Apparently, the daughter of Kelvin Jones, Sarah Jones had been kidnapped.
“Afternoon Mr Kelvin, I am Inspector Max from the Police of Gallant City district. This is Officer Tommy and Officer Scarlett. We will be helping you in finding you daughter.” Inspector Max greeted.
“Thank you so much! Please, you need to find my daughter!” Mr Kelvin wailed.
“Alright, let’s find a place to sit down and talk about it.” Inspector Max suggested.
Soon, they came to a small coffee table and they sat on the sofa and talked over about the case.
“First of all Mr Kelvin, may I know when did you find out your daughter had been kidnapped?” Inspector Max questioned.
“Today, at around 7pm, I got back home from work. I realized that my daughter was not at home. I thought she would be playing hide-and-seek with me, so I went around the house searching.” Mr Kelvin explained.
“Just a few minutes later, I received a call from the kidnapper saying:
‘Evening Mr Kelvin, I have your daughter Sarah with me. Hehe.’
I was very shocked and yelled at the kidnapper: ‘Where is Sarah?! Give her back to me!’ ” Mr Kelvin continued explaining.
“So? What did the kidnapper reply?” Inspector Max questioned.
“What he replied really shocked me. He said: ‘If you wan your daughter back, prepare US$ 40,000,000. You can call the police if you want, I won’t stop you. I will call you back later.’ And, that’s when he hung up.” Mr Kelvin replied.
“That is indeed a very weird to say for a kidnapper, normally, a kidnapper wouldn’t want the police to be informed.” Officer Scarlett commented.
“This is weird, what is the exact motive of the kidnapper? Is it really just money that he wants? Or is it something else?” Officer Tommy suspects.
“We will definitely help you, don’t worry Mr Kelvin. Tommy, Scarlett, go set up the tracking device now, we will need to be prepare when he calls.” Inspector Max commanded.
“Yes Sir!” Both Officer Tommy and Scarlett replied.
Meanwhile, Looze, whom was walking back from home from a nearby department store, came across Mr Kelvin’s house. He glanced around and saw a Police car. He was wondering is something had happened. So he went into the house.
“Alright! We are all set! Let’s wait for the kidnapper to call.” Inspector Max commented.
“Did someone get kidnapped Inspector?” Looze questioned.
“Looze! What are you doing here?” Inspector Max asked.
“I saw a Police car outside, and I wondered if I could help. The door was not locked, that’s why I came in.” Looze answered.
“Tommy! Why didn’t you lock the door?” Inspector Max yelled.
“I think, I kind of forget.” Officer Tommy scratched his head.
So, Inspector Max and the others explained the situation to Looze.
“Indeed, this is weird. Anyway, Mr Kelvin, are the both of you the only one living here?” Looze asked.
“No, why do you ask that?” Mr Kelvin wondered.
“When I came into the house, I saw a few other shoes at your door step. From the looks of it, it should be another woman and a male.” Looze replied.
“Yes, that true. My wife lives here too. I have a butler that lives in this house with us.” Mr Kelvin replied.
“May I know where the both of them are now?” Looze questioned.
“My wife is on work overseas. As for my butler, I had asked him to go to the bank to retrieve the money once the kidnapper called me.” Mr Kelvin explained.
“Master! I’m back. Ohh, looks like you have called the police. And who might this young man be?” the butler asked.
“Allow me to introduce, this is my butler, Mr Kane.” Mr Kelvin introduces.
“My name is Looze, a detective!” Looze smiled.
“Ohh! You are the famous High School Detective!” Mr Kane was surprised.
“Here’s the money Master Kelvin.” Mr Kane passed the money to Mr Kelvin.
“Alright, thank you. Now we wait for the phone call.” Mr Kelvin speaks as he checked the amount of money.
Just as they waited, everyone thinks that the kidnapper would not be calling at all. But they were wrong, 3 hours past as the phone rang.
“Alright, tracking device activated, you may answer now. And try to drag the conversation long, so that we can track him down.” Inspector Max commanded.
“Hello, Mr Kelvin speaking.” Mr Kelvin answered the phone.
“Have you got the money ready?” the kidnapper asked.
“Uh, what is that sound?” Looze wondered to himself as he heard something.
“Yes, yes I have. Where is my daughter?” Mr Kelvin answered.
“Alright, take the money and bring it to Gallant Park. Place it in front of the water fountain. I shall call you again.” The kidnapper hung up.
“Hello? Hello?! Damn it!” Mr Kelvin was upset.
Inspector Max glanced towards Officer Tommy. Officer Tommy shook his head, indicating that the kidnapper was unable to be tracked down.
“Master, we need to go now, Missy might be in trouble is we don’t put the money by the time the kidnapper calls.” Mr Kane pleaded.
“That’s right, let’s go now!” Mr Kelvin shouted.
“Please wait a minute Mr Kelvin! I know who the kidnapper is and he is right inside this house!” Looze shouted.
“What?! Is it really true Looze?” Inspector Max suspects.
“Yes, and the kidnapper is, the butler of the house, MR KANE!” Looze pointed.
“What are you saying?! I can’t be the kidnapper at all!” the face of the butler turned pale.
“Officer Tommy, I would like you to replay the recorded phone call just now. Also, adjust the background volume to be higher and making the kidnapper’s and Mr Kelvin’s voice as low as possible.” Looze commanded.
Inspector Max turned his head to Officer Tommy and nodded, allowing Officer Tommy to do what Looze had asked him.
“Alright, here it goes.” Officer Tommy pushed the play button.
“Hello, Mr Kelvin speaking. Have you got the money ready? Yes, yes I have. Where is my daughter? Alright, take the money and bring it to Gallant Park. Place it in front of the water fountain. I shall call you again.” the recorded phone call played with the background volume higher.
“What was that all about?” Inspector Max and Mr Kelvin asked at the same time.
“Just as I suspected, the background noise was the conversation between the kidnapper and Mr Kelvin itself. This means that the kidnapper that was calling must be nearby this house somewhere.” Looze indicated.
“But that doesn’t mean I am the kidnapper!” Mr Kane protested.
“Still trying to deny? May I ask you what is in your left pocket?” Looze questioned.
“Uh… Nothing at all!” Mr Kane’s face once turned pale again.
“May I check your pocket please Mr Kane?” Inspector Max asked while reach his hands into the pocket.
When the hands of Inspector Max came out, he was holding two things. One it was a voice recorder. Two, it was a hand phone.
“What is the meaning of this?!” Mr Kelvin asked.
“Very simple, basically, he placed both things inside his left pocket, and then called the number of this house. When Mr Kelvin you, had answered, he started playing the voice recorder which he recorded the kidnapper’s voice.” Looze explained it all.
“Isn’t that right Mr Kane?” Looze looked at him.
“Tommy! Play the recorder.” Inspector Max ordered.
“Hello, Mr Kelvin speaking. Have you got the money ready? Alright, take the money and bring it to Gallant Park. Place it in front of the water fountain. I shall call you again.” the recorder played.
“There you have it everyone.” Looze commented.
“But how did you know?” Mr Kane asked.
“The whole time Mr Kelvin was speaking to the kidnapper, you had your left hand inside your left pocket the whole time. You took it out immediately after the call had ended. Not only that, the volume of the voice of the kidnapper also decreased at one point. I figured that it wasn’t a real person and was really a recording.” Looze deduced.
“Very impressive young detective, but I’m afraid that you wouldn’t have much time left. My partner may be killing her now! Muahahahaha.” The butler laughed.
“What did you do to my daughter?! Damn you!” Mr Kelvin punched Mr Kane right in his face.
“No worries, haven’t you notice Officer Scarlett isn’t around for a long time? I had sent her to find Sarah, after all, I figured out where you took her to.” Looze smiled.
At the mean time, Officer Scarlett got off her car and rushed down towards a storage warehouse behind a field filled with flowers. Officer Scarlett kicked down the door with her powerful legs.
The kidnapper was shocked when he saw Officer Scarlett, he fought her, but the skills of Officer Scarlett was of no match to the kidnapper, he fell onto the floor and Officer Scarlett handcuffed him.
“Are you Sarah? I’m a police officer.” Officer Scarlett said to Sarah gently.
“Yes I am. Thank you for saving me!” Sarah hugged Officer Scarlett.
Soon, everyone including Mr Kane arrive at the storage warehouse where Sarah was kidnapped.
“Daddy!” Sarah ran towards her father and hugged him.
“Looze, how did you know she was hidden here?” Officer Scarlett asked.
“Very easy, look at Mr Kane pants. At the end of it you can see some soil attached to it. If you were to look closely, you can actually see pollens on the soil too. Since this is the only place in Gallant City where flowers are commonly found, I figured this would be the place.” Looze explained.
“But there are other places where there would be a field and flowers.” Officer Scarlett suggested.
“I know, but if you were to see the timeline, Sarah has school from 7am to 2pm. The kidnapper must have kidnapped her after 2pm onwards, and since the butler couldn’t have been gone from home for too long, the place where they have hidden Sarah must not be far from Gallant City.” Looze deduced.
“And the most important clue is that, they wanted Mr Kelvin to place the money in Gallant Park, which told me that the kidnapper must be in Gallant City.” Looze continued.
“I’m impressed Looze, we shall continue working together. Thanks for everything.” Officer Scarlett headed towards her car.
Then, the police officers brought the two culprits back to the police station in their police cars.
“Thank you so much Looze, I do not know how to thank you more.” Mr Kelvin shook his hand.
“I don’t really want much, but could you drive me back to my house?” Looze laughed.

The tales of Tale 3: Troubles During Camp (Part 4)
--- Recap ---
Many things had happened after Looze and his classmates step onto the campsite. First, Mr Winton, their bus driver got killed. Next, Mrs Jenny, the dormitory manager was murdered. Who is the murderer? Read this to find out!
--- Story ---
Looze went back to the storage room to investigate again once more. From there we looked around the body, including around the things that’s had fallen all over the place.
Just as he was looking through, he found a bloody glove hidden under a cardboard box. He took out his glove and put it on. That would help him to prevent leaving any fingerprints on the scene. He picked up the pair of glove and sniffed it.
“Just as I suspected, it also have the smell of the cologne or deodorant that was on Mr Winston’s hand. Both murderers are the same person.” Looze smiled.
Just as he placed back the glove, he sensed someone spying on him from behind. He walked out of the storage room and looked opposite.
“Wait a minute, isn’t that the toilet beside the dormitory counter table?” Looze questioned himself while looking opposite.
Looze quickly rushed back to the dormitory counter. Just as he entered, he saw Peter standing in front of the counter table. Looze went up towards him.
“Peter, can I ask you some questions?” Looze asked.
“Oh sure. What is it?” Peter responded.
“Is this the only toilet in the dormitory?” Looze questioned as he pointed beside the counter table.
“Yes. We only have one around here. Why?” Peter wondered.
“Isn’t it a little less for the campers?” Looze replied.
“Oh no, if you were to go inside, it is actually very big. Each won’t have to wait long until they are able to bathe. At least 10 of them can fit in.” Peter explained.
After hearing what Peter had said, Looze went into to toilet. He was surprised at how big the toilet was. But, the toilet felt a little suspicious. Looze saw a small window about 3 metres high at the end of the toilet. He walked towards it and saw some water droplets on it.
“Water droplets? They are still fresh.” Looze felt the water droplets that had been formed on the window.
“Someone must have been here looking out of the window, most probably spying on me just now.” Looze imagined.
Looze opened the window looked around the frame of the window. To his surprise, he found something.
“This is soil. What is it doing here?” Looze looked at the bottom of the frame.
“It must have come from the ground just outside here.” Looze put his head out of the window.
Looze ran back to the storage room. He went towards the wall which had the toilet’s window. He closely examined the wall and actually found footprints.
“The food prints are 3 metres above ground level. Someone must have used this to climb into the toilet or, out of it…” Looze thought.
“Now I know who the murderer is. But, I need to find evidence to prove it!” Looze ran off.
Soon, Looze enter into the dormitory counter area with a wide smile on his face. Looze saw Miss Winnie and walked to her to ask a favor.
“Miss Winnie, do you mind helping me? Could you help by call everyone, including the works of this dormitory to gather here?” Looze pleaded.
“Okay, sure.” Miss Winnie replied with a smile.
No long later, everyone gathered at the counter area. Most of Looze’s classmates were discussing if Looze had solved it.
“Thanks for gathering everyone. Now, it’s time for me to reveal the real murderer!” Looze snapped his finger.
--- Revelation ---
“Is it true? Is it true you have found the murderer?” Rachel questioned.
“But I thought the murderer was Souno?!” Limmy shouted.
“Souno is innocent. The murderer is a really smart one. I almost got tricked by her tricks.” Looze said with pride.
“The murderer is a ‘her’?” Souno asked.
“Yes, that’s right. And the only one capable of killing and is a female is you. Isn’t that right Miss Melody?” Looze deduced.
“What are you saying?! You are saying I am the murderer?!” Melody reacted.
“And yes I am. Let me start from the death of Mr Winston. If I am not wrong you are actually dating with him isn’t it? And he had cheated you by spending all your money on other women. Actually why you killed him is what Mrs Jenny had confessed. Everything Mrs Jenny had confessed actually happened on you, not her.” Looze let out his deduction.
“And what about that? It doesn’t prove I killed both of them! And how did I kill Mrs Jenny?!” Melody yelled.
“As for Mrs Jenny, you went to killed her by getting out through the toilet’s window. The toilet’s window is directly opposite the storage room. You can get there easily within 30 seconds. And after you kill her, you get in through the toilet window again. And also, during the point of time Mrs Jenny went to the storage room, you had gone to the toilet.” Looze countered with his deduction.
“Didn’t Souno go out of the dormitory? He could have done it too!” Melody replied with fear.
“Yes he did. But he had an alibi, my classmates, Teresa and Sharon saw him when they were outside too.” Looze answered.
“And also, the dying message left by Mrs Jenny isn’t Souno. The letter ‘O’ is actually a letter ‘D’. Which spells the word SOUND.” said Looze.
“And what does sound have anything got to… Uhh…” Melody stood rooted to the ground.
“Yes, a beautiful sound can be referred as a Melody. Also, the right index finger of Mr Winston had lipstick on it. He must have gotten it from you when he was struggling and fought with you.” Looze deduced.
Melody fall onto her knees and started to cry.
“I admit it. It was me. But I didn’t want to really kill him. I just wanted to threaten him to return my money back. When did you suspect me?” Melody confessed with tears.
“I suspected you since you said to call the police after looking at the dead Mr Winston. Because you couldn’t have known he had died unless you are the murderer. Also, your trick on using cologne or deodorant was pretty good. It had almost tricked me into thinking the murderer was a male.” Looze giggled.
“I see. Cologne? Deodorant? What are you talking about?” Melody asked.
“Ha-ha, nice try. Miss Winnie, could you bring the keys over from the storage room? We can call the police now. Rachel, mind following Miss Winnie?” Looze asked.
“Okay sure!” both of them answer together.
After a call to the police station, the police finally came and they took almost a day to fix the bridge that was burned. Miss Melody was brought back to the police station the next day for the taking of her statement.
“Job well done Looze, I never thought you can do it without the police help. Keep it up young detective!” Inspector Max praised Looze.
“Alright everyone! Time to go back! Quick, get into the bus.” Miss Winnie shouted to everyone.
Everyone got on the bus and was prepared to go home. Just as they were about to leave, the doors of the dormitory main door opened. The eyes of Souno glared at Looze.
“Hmph… That young man, he is not half bad at all.” Souno thought.
As his thoughts went through, his cell phone rang.
“Yes Boss?” Souno answered the phone.
“
Please do not worry. I will make sure that the job is done properly.” Souno said those in Japanese.
“Masaki Souno! Quit talking on the phone. Come and help me now! We’ve got many things to do!” Peter shouted to Souno.
“Alright! Coming!” Souno replied.
“
I have to go now. I will contact you later. Bye.” Souno hanged up the phone.

The tales of Tale 3: Troubles During Camp (Part 3)
--- Recap ---
Looze and his class went for a camp at the mountain side. But as soon as they got there, the bus driver, Mr Winston, was murdered! Mrs Jenny came and confessed that she is the murderer. Looze knows she not and suspects there is a real murderer! Who might the murdere be?
--- Story ---
“Hey, did you hide the keys to the dormitory rooms?” Souno asked.
“Yea… I had it hidden in the storage room behind this dormitory.” Mrs Jenny replied.
“Can you go and retrieve it? I need to call my mother in Japan!” Souno cried.
“Alright, alright. I shall go and take you now. Will all of you stay here and wait for me?” Mrs Jenny yelled.
“Sure. May I come along?” Looze asked.
At this moment, Rachel mugged Looze and told him something.
“You shouldn’t! I can see that she is feeling very down. Let her go alone” Rachel pleaded.
“Uh… What if she were to run away?” Looze suspects Mrs Jenny.
“I don’t think she will though…” Rachel answered.
“Alright then. I shall not go.” Looze decided.
Looze turned to face Mrs Jenny.
“I don’t think I would follow you. You shall go alone. But be quick.” Looze said with a strict voice.
Just as Looze finished, Mrs Jenny walked out and went to take the keys, while still having tears in her eyes.
“Uh… It’s so stuffy in here. I shall go take a walk outside.” Souno walked off as he said this.
“Give me a moment, I will be back from the washroom.” Melody smiled.
Three minutes past, and soon 15 minutes had gone by.
“Where is Mrs Jenny? Would she take this long to retrieve a bunch of keys?” Rachel shouted.
“Everyone! Let’s go and take a look!” Looze yelled.
Just as they stepped into the storage room, what awaits them is a shocking scene. Mrs Jenny was lying on the floor fully covered with blood, having a dagger stabbed into her chest.
From this shocking crime scene, Miss Winnie let out a loud scream. The supposed murderer has been killed!
“Just as I suspected, Mrs Jenny is not the real murderer.” Looze commented.
“What do you mean?” Melody asked with a doubtful voice.
“The real murderer is someone else. Mrs Jenny must have seen the real murderer killed Mr Winston. Mrs Jenny tried to cover up for the real murderer, but, after hearing her confessed, the real murderer silenced her to prevent her from saying the truth to the police.” Looze deduced.
“Mrs Jenny might have suicide! It may not be the ‘real’ murderer.” Souno yelled.
“That is highly impossible. As you can see the mess of this room, Mrs Jenny must have struggled with the real murderer when he or she tried to kill him” Looze countered.
“Who could have killed her?!” Rachel shouted.
“I don’t know, but I may require some investigating before I know it.” Looze started to walk towards the corpse.
As Looze walked closer and closer towards the corpse, something near the body started to get clearer in sight. Just beside the body, was a dying message left by Mrs Jenny.
“S – O – U – N – O. SOUNO.” Looze read the dying message out.
Upon hearing the message, everyone turned around and faced Souno.
“What?! How can that be? I didn’t do it!” Souno exclaimed.
“But the evidence is just right there! How can you say that it’s not you?!” Melody shouted.
“Hold on, this might not be it. It might be a trick the murderer had used to frame Souno. But Souno, you are our very first suspect!” Looze stared at Souno.
“Alright, I understand. But please believe me, I am not the murderer!” Souno exclaimed.
“At the moment, everyone, let’s get back to the dormitory.” We will discussed everything there” Looze commanded.
“Hey, what about the keys?” Peter asked.
“We will have to leave it there, as it is part of the crime scene. Alright everyone, let’s go. Miss Winnie, please lead everyone.” Looze requested.
“Now, this case is getting much more interesting… But is Souno really the murderer? Or is it someone else who framed him? And also the three things that I wondered just now, it still have not been solved. I need more evidence!” Looze pondered.
... to be continued.
*In the next part! Looze finally solves the case and found out who the murderer is! Do you know who the murderer is? If you don't, stay tuned to find out!

The tales of Tale 3: Troubles During Camp (Part 2)
--- Recap ---
Looze and his class went for a camp in the mountain areas. But as soon as they got there, Mr Winston, their bus driver got killed! Who is the murderer? Will Looze solve this?
--- Story ---
As the moment passed by, a few strangers from afar started to walk towards them.
“Hey! What’s the matter here? Why is every one crowded around here?” asked one of the strangers.
He walked to towards Looze and looked at the dead Mr Winston who is on the toilet bowl.
“Oh my! We need to call the police!” he shouted.
“Excuse me, may I know who are you?” Looze questioned.
“Oh, sorry about that. My name is Melody, the assistant of the camp dormitory here. This is Peter, he is in charged of the electronics and this is Souno, he’s from Japan and had just joined us. Nice to meet all of you, I assumed you are the students from Gallant Time High School?” Melody replied with a question.
“Nice to meet you too. Yes, we are from Gallant Time High school.” Looze replied.
“But what had happened here?! Who is that guy sitting on the toilet bowl?!” Peter exclaimed.
“His name is Mr Winston, our bus driver. My friend Rachel found him dead in the toilet a few minutes ago.” Looze explained.
“Then, what are you waiting for?! Call the police!” Peter shouted.
“We can’t! The phone at the counter had been disconnected and the rooms of the dormitory are locked. No matter how hard we try to bang the door down, we can’t get in to take our mobile phones.” Rachel yelled.
“I think we have the master keys for the doors. But we need to find the dormitory manager, Mrs Jenny for the keys!” Melody shouted.
“Okay, let’s move off to find Mrs Jenny! No one is allowed to get near the crime scene, is that clear?!” Looze commanded.
“Who do you think you are young man?” Souno asked in a mono tone.
“My name is Looze Tale. A Detective!” Looze smiled.
Soon, they moved off to find Mrs Jenny. But to no vial, they cannot find Mrs Jenny anywhere. They then, meet up at the entrance of the dormitory.
“Where can Mrs Jenny be?” Melody questioned with a worried face.
“Let’s find her again later, bring every one inside to the counter of the dormitory and wait. If the murderer is still here, we might be in danger if we stay out for too long.” Peter advised.
As soon as everyone entered, Looze and some other male classmates tried to bang down the door together at one go. But they had no chance. The door was just like it had been made of metal. Looze gave up and wandered around the counter area.
“This mystery had too many unsolved points. Firstly, why was Mr Winston killed in the toilet? Secondly, how did the murderer get to know him? And lastly! Why did that person say such words?!” Looze thought deeply.
Looze knew there were more to this mystery. He went back to the crime scene to investigate further more.
“Uh… What’s this?” Looze looked into the fingers of Mr Winston.
“Lipstick? It has dried up already… Hmm…” Looze felt and smelled the substance on the right index finger.
“If I am not wrong, the murderer should be a female… But who?” Looze wondered.
Looze went around the corpse to look around more.
“No way… This smell on the left hand… Cologne? Deodorant? Definitely a man’s product. Now the murderer might be a man too. This is hard…” Looze sighed and went back to the dormitories.
Just as Looze entered the dormitory’s counter, everyone was quiet and looking shocked. Mrs Jenny returned and was there too.
“What happened?” Looze asked.
“The murderer… is… Mrs Jenny…” Rachel yelled.
Looze looked towards Mrs Jenny with a doubtful face.
“Is this true? Mrs Jenny?” Looze asked.
“Yes it is. I had killed Mr Winston.” Mrs Jenny replied.
“But why confess now?” Looze questioned.
“I had thought about it over and over again. And I had decided to confess.” Mrs Jenny broke into tears.
“I had known Mr Winston since the second year Gallant Time High School had been working with us for camps. Mr Winston had been the bus driver for camps since that time. Ever since we became good friends and we even started to date each other.” Mrs Jenny brought up the past.
“But until last month, I found out that he had been cheating on my money and I. He had been using the money I gave him to date some other women. He even broke up with me. I hated him ever since.” Mrs Jenny sobbed.
“So you killed him because of this?” asked Looze.
“Yes. After I found out that he will be driving a new class for camp this year again, I planned a strategy to murder him. And that is to call him to the toilet and stab him in his heart.” she exclaimed with anger.
“But, after killed him, I felt guilty, as I still loved him. That is why I confessed. I am very sorry…” Mrs Jenny cried and fell on her knees.
“Uh… No, this is not it. The way she said it, I know she’s lying. She must be covering up for someone. But who is it? Who is the murderer?!” Looze wondered angrily.
... to be continued.
